Requirements

Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

About The Program

During the Fall term, you will be placed as a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at an Owens Corning manufacturing plant for approximately 12 weeks. You will be mentored by seasoned technical specialists and provided value added projects throughout this period. Projects will give you hands-on experience with the technical issues that you’ll face in the production environment, and they will cover the following topics:

  • Process and product improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or relevant STEM major and or field
  • Previous relevant internships/co-ops in a manufacturing setting
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional, service, or social organizations
  • Willingness and flexibility to relocate

Certified Firefighter

Company: City of Big Spring

Pay: $46,055 – $61,833 a year

Job Type: Full Time

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years overall professional sales experience AND 1-2+ years of experience in wood product, civil/structural engineering, or construction/building materials related industries (such as architectural rep or wood product dealer sales rep)
  • Must live or be willing to relocate to DFW area
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), able to convert ideas and concerns clearly and persuasively
  • Understands and can persuasively explain residential construction, technical, and design concepts regarding value creation to the builder.
  • Skilled in business acumen, financial competency, and negotiation
  • Demonstrated creativity in approach to problem solving and solutions
  • Strong consultative selling ability. Working knowledge of levers to drive results to meet sales strategy/profitability targets
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
